Celtic: Neil Lennon exits but will help find successor

Neil Lennon has confirmed he has left Celtic after four years as manager and will help the club find his successor.


Protects former club captain despite their third straight Scottish title has been understood for some time to consider his position .
42-year- old Northern Irishman told the Celtic website : " I supported Celtic all my life and the club will always be part of me.
"But I think for now the right time to move on to a new challenge now."

 
Lennon 's statement , his representative, Martin Reilly, and came after a meeting with chief executive Peter Lawwell Celtic .
"It's the captain of the team , to play in this great club and , of course , the Celtic manager , a position he has cherished me happy was an absolute honor ," he said .
"Of course , I am in good health, as well as the Scottish champions Celtic , leaving the club to be very happy.
" I would prefer that the club is an opportunity in the future. , I will help the club to appoint my successor. "
Lennon , leading them to three league titles and two Scottish Cups , the Glasgow club have yet to comment on the famine in 2010 , took over .
